Holiday Performance!

On Friday, some of the kids will be performing a play,

"The Antarctic Mystery" by Andy Pavey.

The kids have been going through the whole process of putting on a play. They started with auditions and got cast in fitting roles! They received scripts to highlight and practice.

We worked three times a week at Riverdale Activity Centre to rehearse the play, and now it is almost time for performance!! The kids have been working hard for the past month and particularly this week as we count down to Friday.

In advance of the show, we just wanted to say a thank you to the actors for their dedication, to you, the parents, for supporting your kids and this production, and to Drama Notebook where we found this fun and hilarious play that we have been working on.

The show will start at 6 PM. Doors open at 5:30 PM.

The kids will also be showcasing a Dance on "Jingle Bell Rock", as well as singing carols for a Music Performance. We are excited for parents to come to watch us put up a show the kids have been working on for three weeks now.

STEM Session: Creating Geometric 3-D Structures from Magnetic Tiles.

Kids are Visual thinkers. They made these shapes using imagination and memory almost independently. They learnt Technical Names during or after building.

If you think about it, we know various 3-D shapes intuitively.

What 3-D shapes can you name in the picture above?

(Hint: Hexagon is a 2-D shape, but a Hexagonal Prism is a 3-D Structure)
