Riverdale Activity Centre Preschool Program for Kids Ages 2.5 to 4 years, not attending school. 

Our Preschool Program is designed with activities to capitalize on natural curiosity and wonder: qualities children exhibit in the early years. We will encourage the exploration of new concepts and ideas through movement and multi-sensory experience.

Using the Orton-Gillingham approach, we have developed an early literacy and numeracy program designed to give your child a head start. This methodology promotes neurocognitive development through activities that stimulate visual, auditory, kinaesthetic and tactile neural pathways. Children will build foundational skills required for early literacy and numeracy development. Emphasis will be placed on phonological awareness, auditory attention, fine motor development, sequencing, comprehension skills, letter/number recognition, and patterning. Learning is facilitated through the whole group, learning center, and independent style instruction, fostering the development of social relationships, cooperation, and self-esteem. Each day, skill development is integrated with music, art, drama, engineering, and physical education through games, songs, construction, and creation.
